Here we have an outstanding rich 18ct yellow gold brooch taken from the Victorian period and featuring a duo of intertwined serpents adorned with striking pink topaz. The largest stone sits proud at the centre amidst ornate curvaceous decoration. The two snakes below showcase expertly handcrafted engraving work to the head which also play host to further perfectly matched pink topaz. Each of the serpent's smoothly finished coiled tails and mouths terminate with a freely hanging pear shaped stone below in an elegant fashion. The piece is finally made complete by a pair of cabochon emeralds found the at the eyes of both snakes.
