A beautiful English padlock bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Made of 18k yellow gold, the piece has a simple, yet wonderful design. The bracelet is comprised of smooth, interlocking Cuban links that meet at a removable heart padlock clasp in the center. The padlock has a small keyhole in the center, but fastens at the side of the handle, where it can be snapped open and pushed shut. The front of the heart padlock is also decorated with four small etchings, which represent screws. A safety chain provides extra security when worn. The back of the locket is marked with four small hallmarks, which include a "crown", an 18k purity mark, a "shield", and the letter "R". These hallmarks indicate that the piece was crafted in Chester in the year 1899. The last Cuban link is also marked with an 18k purity mark. A marvelous piece, this bracelet would make a lovely everyday piece!

Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7" long and is 1/4" wide and 1/8" thick. The padlock heart hangs 7/8" long and measures 1/2" wide.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold links, and the padlock clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition.
