Antique bog oak brooch! Hand carved bog oak bearing a lovely design of forget me not flowers create this unique brooch. Hailing from Ireland, bog oak is a fossilized wood and is usually carved. The designs can be found in Irish motifs, such as the shamrock and harp, but often castles are carved into pieces. Just a beautiful and wearable today as it was over 150 years ago!
